My Philosophy
"A pathway can lead many places; our conscious choices determine the destination". This encapsulates my belief in the interconnectedness of mind, body, and environment in achieving mental wellness. I am committed to a health and wellness approach that balances the rigour of evidence-based practice with the therapeutic qualities of the natural world.
About Me
With a background in medicine and neuroscience, I’ve spent the last 30 years exploring the mind-body connection. My work as an NHS doctor, along with roles in academia, industry, and the voluntary sector, has focused on finding the most effective, compassionate approaches to health and wellbeing.
In the voluntary sector, I’ve supported individuals in crisis through organisations like the Icarus Charity and the Scottish Psychedelics Research Group, advocating for innovative therapies such as psychedelic-assisted and nature-based treatments.
Through scientific and creative collaborations, I am focused on exploring how to improve the quality of life of individuals with chronic health conditions.
